FOLLOWING the recent serious floods in the Botley area, I found myself wondering how on earth we would have coped for food shopping if the threatened Doric development had happened, as I believe they are planning to do a total demolition and leaving us with virtually no easily-accessible food shops.
Luckily, Witney was accessible this time (that may not be the case in future floods), and those with waders could have got to Aldi, but we might eventually find ourselves in need of an air-drop!
Please, please, Doric, if you do go ahead with your ghastly plans, at least do us the favour of a partial demolition only. Perhaps Doric may think more than twice about the development in view of what has happened over the past week.
