GRUMBLING about slow internet has almost become a solid British tradition.

But the villagers of Blackthorn have taken it on themselves to do something about it.

Maybe this is what was meant when David Cameron extolled the virtues of the Big Society.

People actually taking the time to get problems sorted must be praised.

On reflection, though, it it might be better to give them a call to do so, rather than sending them an email.
