HOAX calls are an unfathomable blight on our emergency services. It can be hard to understand what drives someone to place such calls, especially when services are so stretched nowadays.
To potentially endanger lives for your own cheap kicks is not just immature, but selfish and irresponsible.
Thames Valley Police must ensure those who are caught perpetrating this crime are caught and the full force of the law applied to them.
Only by making an example of those who make these calls will it deter others from following suit.
Without tough action, more lives could be put at risk.
