THAT one in five people in Oxfordshire drink more than the recommended alcohol levels is not really a surprise.
But it is worrying that one in 20 are such heavy drinkers that it risks their health.
That is more than 32,000 people. It is then that you see the scale of the problem.
Like obesity there is a personal responsibility about what you put into your body. Alcohol is addictive but people need to recognise if they need help they must be be brave enough to ask for it – or risk becoming a statistic adding to that 32,000.
