ARCHITECT Adrian James may now find he has a few less dinner party invitations from neighbours in his West Oxford street.
For Mr James finds himself in the unusual position of designing a new block of student flats which backs on to his own road.
Perhaps predictably, his designs have not gone down too well with the neighbours.
They claim their gardens will be overlooked and students living in the flats will be noisy.
Mr James, however, says the building will block noise and fumes from the railway line and claims the windows will be angled, so gardens will not be directly overlooked.
Whoever is right, we suspect Mr James may himself facing some slightly awkward small talk over the fence in the next few weeks.
