THE care provided by five Oxfordshire health providers has been rated as good in reports published by the Care Quality Commission this month.

The OSJCT Marston Court in Oxford, St Andrew's Residential Care Home in Headington, and Newland House Care Home in Witney were inspected by the CQC in May and June.

Both St Andrew's and Newland House were rated good in all five inspection areas; safe; effective; caring; responsive; and well-led, while Marston Court was rated good in four of the measures but received an outstanding rating for the responsive category.

Inspectors said staff at St Andrew's in London Road supported people with 'kindness and compassion', while residents' individual needs, including equality and diversity needs were 'considered and respected' at Newland House, according to the CQC.

Staff at Marston Court went to 'exceptional lengths to align individual activities to peoples wishes and dreams' the report published in August states.

Islip Surgery also received good ratings across the board following its CQC inspection in June, with inspectors praising staff and management at the practice.

Heathfield House Nursing Home in Kidlington was also rated good in all five measures, following a July inspection.

Inspectors said there was a 'positive culture' at the service.
