CABINET members on West Oxfordshire District Council are set to approve funding for a significant upgrade to Chipping Norton Leisure Centre.

Councillors will meet today to discuss allocating £137,000 to improve the centre, which is based at Chipping Norton School.

The cash, which has been drawn from Section 106 money from development in the town, will be used to upgrade the multi-use games area to include an astroturf pitch.

Improvements will also be made to the centre’s gym which will increase its capacity by 60 per cent.

Councillor’s will discuss the plans at the council’s Woodgreen offices at 2pm.
