A SALON has added an extra layer to its expertise to host a fundraiser for Sobell House hospice.
The Anne Veck salon in Bicester has been offering hairdressing at a cut price whilst collecting funds for the Oxford-based charity.
With crowds of people flooding into the salon, staff managed to raise £1,375.
The money will go towards helping the hospice continues its efforts to provide specialist palliative care and support to adult patients and their family.
Bert Corbyn-Smith, community fundraiser at Sobell House, said: "We are extremely grateful to everyone at Anne Veck for all the hard work, and for organising such a fabulous event.
"It is an incredibly exciting time for the hospice as building work is underway for our new six-bed extension and outpatient clinic, which will enable us to expand our services and care for more people.
"We’re so often overwhelmed by the generosity of our local community – thank you all so much."
