A WOMAN who is likely to become the next chief executive of Oxfordshire County Council will face a committee on Monday.
It is likely that Yvonne Rees, who is the current executive of Cherwell District Council and South Northamptonshire Council, will get the nod to become the Oxfordshire County Council’s chief executive in coming weeks.
Ms Rees has been the joint chief executive of the two district councils since March 2017.
But as part of local government changes, South Northamptonshire will cease to exist. It is likely she will take over as both the county council’s and Cherwell’s chief executive, subject to the county’s remuneration committee’s initial approval.
