A HOMEBUILDER'S plans for Oxfordshire add up to almost 1,000 new homes being built across the county.

Redrow's three major sites in Barton, Milton Heights and Bloxham Vale could also support 4,300 jobs, the developer has said.

A 'reserved matters' application is expected for 200 homes in Barton park to cover details not included in the original planning permission.

Redrow is building the two, three and four-bedroom homes in partnership with Grosvenor and Oxford City Council to create what it calls a '21st century garden suburb' with a school and communal gardens.

It also intends to build 458 homes at Blaise Park, Milton Heights, near Didcot.

A further reserved matters application to finalise the details of these homes was recently submitted and is due to be decided shortly.

The jobs being created are through direct employment on site, indirect employment within the supply chain or through the spending of construction workers and residents in local shops and businesses.

The developer also reported it has further developments in the pipeline for Bicester, Sutton Courtenay and Kennington.
