AN OXFORD-based parenting charity is celebrating its 20th year this month with a special conference event.
OXPIP, the Oxford Parent-Infant Project, will be hosting the 'Early Relationships: a window into our shared future' to mark two decades since the organisation was founded.
The charity works to raise awareness and to improve understanding of parent-infant mental health both locally and nationally.
Author Sue Gerhardt, who founded OXPIP, said: "OXPIP has achieved so much over the last 20 years.
"It's been at the forefront of a growing movement to recognise how important the early relationships are.
"In this age of cutbacks and belt tightening in mainstream services, we need OXPIP more than ever."
The conference will be held at the Unipart Centre on Friday and will bring together 180 specialists in the field from across the UK.
