AN OXFORD college has announced that a scientist will take over as its principal in October.
St Edmund Hall announced that Professor Katherine Willis will succeed Keith Gull on October 1.
She has been the director of science at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew since October 2013.
She is married to the Liberal Democrat leader on the city council, Andrew Gant, and they have three children.
