WANTAGE’S Betjeman Park will play host to a number of summer events.
Coffee meetings and ‘Poetry in the Park’ - featuring poetry sculptor Alec Peever - are first up, before ‘Science in the Park’ aims to help educate for primary school pupils.
Later that month, the ‘gentle’ Betjeman Bike-Ride will meander to Uffington, where riders will be rewarded with tea.
Trustees of the facility also say they have had ‘a good number’ of weeding parties, starting from 10.15am on Sunday mornings, but that there remains a lot to do now spring has arrived.
