PERSONNEL from RAF Benson and RAF Brize Norton are preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RAF this weekend.
Helicopter base RAF Benson near Wallingford will send representatives to attend a service on Sunday at St Clement Danes on the Strand in London the Central Church of the RAF.
The RAF100 Baton is expected to arrive at the base on Tuesday.
Then on Thursday the baton relay will arrive at RAF Brize Norton in West Oxfordshire.
This will signal the launch of the air base’s centenary events. The relay will be attended by the base’s Station Commander, Group Captain Timothy Jones.
