HOUSEHOLDS in West Oxfordshire could miss out on bin collections until the new year after snow and ice caused a knock-on effect for collections.
The district council says due to crews catching up on missed collections from earlier this week, garden waste bins will not be emptied until January 9 while they deal with the backlog.
Though roads were gritted during the icy weather, the council said many of its collections were on minor streets and hills and were unsafe for larger lorries to navigate.
