THE birthday of the celebrated civil rights leader Martin Luther King will be commemorated in Oxford early next year.
Natty Mark Samuels, the founder of the African School based in Blackbird Leys is giving a talk on early 20th century African American art at the West Ox Art Gallery in Bampton on Monday January 15 at 7pm.
A shorter, one hour version of the talk will also be given at the Clockhouse Project in Greater Leys on the same day from 11.
Mr Luther King was born on January 15 1929 and his birthday is a federal holiday in the United States.
