A FOOTBALL club is looking forward to a bright future in a new home after landing a £50,000 cash injection from West Oxfordshire District Council.
Charlbury Town Football and Sports Club was left without a clubhouse after it was demolished to make way for the new community centre in the town.
That sparked a drive to raise £180,000 for new facilities – a target which has almost been met thanks to the fundraising campaign helped by the council’s community facilities grant.
Building work for the new clubhouse is due to start in January.
