CROWDS who witnessed a spectacular display in the skies above Botley raised thousands of pounds for school projects.
The parent-teacher association at Matthew Arnold School has revealed the total raised at its firework display last month.
Writing in community news leaflet The Sprout this week, Matthew Arnold Home School Association announced it raised more than £2,000 through the Matthew Arnold Rocks firework display.
The group organised the event to support its work financing school projects.
It hopes to raise £20,000 towards the school’s expansion.
