A FESTIVAL to celebrate Ashmolean founder Elias Ashmole’s 400th birthday kicks off on Friday with an evening of stargazing, mask making and dancing.
Visitors will be transported back to the 17th century during the weekend, with period theatre, talks, quizzes and music until 4pm Sunday.
The Live Friday event will take place from 7pm to 10.30pm throughout the building and a full programme of events is available on the Oxford museum's website.
All events are free but some do require booking to ensure a place.
