Domestic abuse services in West Oxfordshire are to receive a cash boost.
At a meeting yesterday, councillors agreed to provide £35,000 a year for three years to support services in the District to help bridge a funding gap.
The cash will be used to help fund a team of outreach workers covering medium and high-risk victims with a specific contact established.
Cllr Jeanette Baker, cabinet member for safeguarding, said: “This is a vital service for residents who may be suffering from abuse and without this funding there is a real risk the service would not exist.”
Having been approved by cabinet, the proposal is subject to final approval of funding by full council.
