A DECISION on whether to rename the Wantage parliamentary constituency to Didcot is due to be published today.
The Boundary Commission for England is set to reveal its response to the request from Didcot residents as part of a major review of all parliamentary boundaries in the county.
Parliament asked for the review to reduce the number of constituencies in the UK from 650 to 600. As part of the process, Didcot Town Council asked the commission to change the name of the Wantage constituency, which includes Didcot, to either ‘Didcot’ or ‘Wantage and Didcot’.
