A PLOUGHING competition will be held at a country estate near Wantage.
The Newbury & District Agricultural Society will hold its annual ploughing match at Woolley Park on Saturday, October 21.
Visitors can enjoy the tradition of ploughing, featuring the latest state-of-the-art machinery, vintage tractors, working steam engines and the magnificent heavy horse-drawn ploughs.
Ploughmen from across the UK, as well as home-grown talent, will be hoping to win top spot and qualify for the National Ploughing Championships. Ploughing starts at 9am and the event finishes at 1pm. The entrance fee on the day is £5 and under-16s go free.
