TWO Oxfordshire councils will not provide extra support this month to follow the roll-out of Universal Credit.
Some claimants in South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse districts will start claiming Universal Credit by the end of this month.
But a spokesman for both councils said: “Rather than setting up funds to cover the potential impact of Universal Credit, which is a national scheme, we will continue to maintain funding for the schemes we currently administer.”
