PEOPLE across the county can have their say on services which help to give Oxfordshire’s most vulnerable a voice.
Oxfordshire County Council will hold three public meetings as part of a review of its advocacy services, which help children and adults contribute to discussions about services including health and social care.
Advocates are mostly volunteers, acting on behalf of people who would otherwise find it difficult to speak up for themselves.
The council commissions a range of advocacy services through charities and other organisations and now it wants to hear what is working well, what the challenges are and what it might do differently in the future.
Meetings will be held in Oxford, Wantage, and Banbury next month to give people the opportunity to discuss potential changes to the services.
The first will be held in The Beacon, Wantage, on Wednesday, October 4, at 11am. The second will be held in Banbury Children and Family Centre on October 12 at 11am.
The third meeting will take place in Wesley Memorial Hall, in New Inn Hall Street, Oxford, on October 19 at 6pm.
Anybody interested in attending one of the meetings can simply turn up on the day. There is no need to book.
