THE PLIGHT of war-torn Yemen is to be highlighted at a free talk.
The country spiralled into civil war in 2014 and, despite peace initiatives, fighting continues with militant groups now basing themselves in Yemen adding to the country's instability.
The talk will be given by Jonathan Puddifoot who first visited the country 30 years ago and works for Oxfam on relief efforts.
The event, which has been organised by Abingdon Peace Group, will take place at the Northcourt Centre, on Northcourt Road, Abingdon on Tuesday.
The event will last from 8pm until 10pm.
