RESIDENTS are being invited to have their say on how Abingdon should develop over the next decade.
Abingdon Town Council has urged people to attend a consultation event on Saturday, which will help to shape a community-led plan.
The plan is a document being put together by the council, to set out preferences for the development of the town over the next five to 10 years.
Councillor Alice Badcock, who chairs the council’s community-led plan steering group, said: “We are keen to hear from as many people as possible who live or work in the town, and from people of all ages and all sections of our community.”
The plan, which is a lesser version of a neighbourhood plan, can be used to influence local area planning decisions, support funding applications and influence service providers.
A drop-in event will be held on Saturday at Preston Road Community Centre between 2pm and 4pm. A previous session was held on September 5.
