CUTTING the grass has been ranked by residents as one of their top three priorities for their local authority to work on.

Taxpayers in Vale of White Horse also told the district council they wanted more support for local shops and businesses and proper creation of new roads, school places and leisure facilities to go with new housing developments.

However, those answering the survey also rated their satisfaction with the council at seven out of ten or higher.

Council leader Matt Barber said: “The survey has highlighted areas where more needs to be done to improve services for residents.”
