PLANS are blooming for a flower-packed weekend in Abingdon.
Abingdon Flower Club has announced a date for people’s diaries, as it prepares for a floral display at Abbey Buildings.
The club will arrange a spectacle of flowers inspired by ‘a floral walk through time’, to coincide with a national event called Heritage Open Days.
It will set up a display in the historic buildings from Friday, September 8 until Sunday, September 10.
Residents are welcome to pop along for free between 10am and 4pm at the buildings in Checker Walk.
Heritage Open Days is a national festival celebrating England’s history and culture.
