CHILTERN RAILWAYS has said it will provide more than 70,000 extra seats for rail passengers travelling during the upcoming improvement works.
It comes as the line between Oxford, Didcot and Banbury is expected to close from Saturday for nine-days whilst Network Rail undertake the work.
The closure will affect train services operated by Cross Country and Great Western Railway, but the Chiltern line will run to and from London as usual.
But rail bosses have warned of an expected increase in passengers on this line so will proves thousands more seats to cater to the predicted increase until Sunday July 23.
