A CARE home in Shippon has been taken out of special measures following an inspection from a health watchdog.
Previously the Care Quality Commission (CQC) had rated Stowford House Care Home as ‘inadequate’ but after another inspection last month found it had made ‘considerable improvements in the service.’
The report said: “We could see that action had been taken to improve people’s safety but further improvements were needed in some areas.”
The care home, which provides support for up to 51 residents some of whom are living with dementia, has now been rated overall as ‘requires improvement’ but was found to be ‘good’ in some areas.
