A MAJOR exhibition to mark 200 years since the death of novelist Jane Austen will be launched tomorrow at the Bodleian Library.
The Weston Library in Broad Street, Oxford, will host the exhibition, which will run until October 29.
The displays, entitled Which Jane Austen? will present the author as an ambitious and risk-taking businesswoman and a wartime writer who was informed and inspired by the surprising international adventures of her family.
Curators are promising a spectacular selection of Austen memorabilia displayed together for the first time.
