SUPERMARKET customers in Wheatley supported a trio of charitable causes through a token scheme.
The Asda store has announced the winners of its green token project, which encourages customers to pop a green token into one of three boxes after their shop.
O.S.C.A.R charity gained the most tokens for its work with children with brain or spinal tumours, and received £500 from Asda.
A community hub in Warborough near Wallingford also gained a cash boost from the project. St Laurence Hall secured £200, which will help improve its car park.
The same amount was awarded to a primary school in Ickford, just outside of Oxfordshire, to support its parent teacher association.
Customers have nominated the next three charities to benefit from the token scheme: John Radcliffe hospital’s SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents), Oxfordshire Lowlands Search and Rescue and Stokenchurch Dog Rescue.
