A BLUE plaque will be unveiled to honour ‘the man who collected Oxfordshire.’
On Saturday 300 Banbury Road will become another piece of the city’s history as the Blue Plaques Society remember Percy Manning, who lived at the address from 1912–1917.
Mr Manning was a major figure in developing the cultural history of Oxfordshire. He bequeathed his massive collections to the University of Oxford, a great resource held by the Bodleian Libraries and the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums.
The ceremony will be taking place at 11am.
