VOLUNTEERS who can ferry older people to activities in Blackbird Leys and Greater Leys are being sought by the Leys Community Development Initiative (CDI).
Anyone on the estate who has an hour or more a week to spare is invited to help.
Tasks will involve driving people who are 50 and over and would otherwise be housebound to sessions at the Clockhouse in Long Ground, which runs daily social events, exercise classes and activities.
Prospective volunteers need their own driving licence and vehicle with up-to-date MOT and insurance.
The CDI will arrange Disclosure and Barring Service checks for volunteers and will refund petrol costs.
