THIEVES broke into a church on the Barton estate in Oxford and stole cash and candles.
Thames Valley Police said the burglary took place some time between Friday and Monday.
Officers said the burglars forced open a side door to get into the church before taking an undisclosed amount of cash and the candles.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
