LADIES in Oxfordshire are invited to take part in the world’s largest all women clay shooting event.
The Oxfordshire Shooting School, in Enstone, is hosting the National Ladies’ Shooting Day on Saturday, June 10.
The day will feature 29 simultaneous clay pigeon shooting and will see more than 1,500 women take part.
Founder of the event, Victoria Knowles-Lacks, said: “Our events are suitable for women with all levels of experience, so it doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner.
“It’s the perfect opportunity for both total newbies through to the more experienced shots who are looking for a good fun day out and the chance to meet new like-minded shooting friends.
“We are growing year on year and I want even more ladies out there in the clay ground trying our amazing sport.
“I don’t want anyone to be nervous, we all had to start somewhere and some of our newbies from last year have really taken to it, making life-long friends and are now contemplating entering their first competitions or going on game days, so who knows where this one day could lead.”
The event costs £42.00 and includes: coaching, gun hire, cartridges, clays, ear and eye protection.
