A TEAM from a North Oxford school have claimed victory in the regional heat of a finance competition.
The pupils from d'Overbroeck's won the Bank of England Target 2.0 contest at the Unipart Conference Centre in Oxford.
They gave a 15 minute presentation on how the bank's monetary policy committee should use monetary policy to meet the inflation target of two per cent.
The judging panel, which included Bank of England economists, deemed the team winners ahead of Matthew Arnold School, Cokethorpe School and The Cherwell School among others.
They will now take part in the south east area final at the end of February.
