AN OXFORD publisher has bought the rights to a massive back catalogue of out-of-print comics including Roy of the Rovers.
Rebellion, which is based in Osney Mead, also acquired the rights to Tammy, Battle, and Whizzer and Chips in the Fleetway archive from media group Egmont.
The company, which publishes the cult comic 2000 AD – famous for its character Judge Dredd – suggested it could bring the long-vanished titles back into print, but no details have yet been confirmed.
Rebellion is also a leading video games developer, known for hit games such as Sniper Elite 3, Sniper Elite V2 and the Nazi Zombie Army series.
