A FREE day of First World War-themed activities is being laid on for children at the Museum of Oxford in St Aldate's on Monday, August 8.
From 10.30am to 3.30pm families can meet visiting 'guests', from a Suffragette to a serving soldier, and find out about recruitment, fighting and life in the infantry.
Youngsters can also find out what soldiers ate in the First World War during their time away from home, try on uniforms and enter a trench art competition to win a Horrible Histories book. For more information call 01865 252334.
