A CONSULTANT psychiatrist at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust has received a national award for his scientific work on emotional disorders.
Dr Michael Browning, who is also a researcher at Oxford University, received the Senior Clinical BAP Psychopharmacology Award at the summer British Association of Psychopharmacology conference in Brighton from July 17 to 20. His work focuses on the causes and treatment of anxiety and depression.
He said: "The overall goal of my research is to better understand the mechanisms which lead to this vulnerability and to use this understanding to develop novel, evidence based treatments for these illnesses.”
