A THAMES Valley Police superintendent has warned residents in Cherwell of a recent increase in burglaries being reported in the area.
Supt Kath Lowe put out the public warning and a reminder to people about leaving windows and doors open.
It comes after figures revealed at a Bicester Town Council meeting found that the number of burglaries over the past year in Bicester Town went up from 38 to 46 and in rural areas from 11 to 19.
The officer urged residents to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious circumstances immediately on 101.
