RESDIENTS are being invited to have their say on how they think health care in the county should be delivered.

The NHS in Oxfordshire is hosting 'The Big Conversation' events to allow residents to speak to NHS clinicians and staff and share their ideas on how it can be improved.

The informal drop-ins will focus on: financial challenges, how we can improve overall health in the county, how we can prevent people getting ill and how to best use tax payer's money.

Damon Palmer, transformation programme director, said: "We really want the public to be partners with us in this process.

"We want parents, teenagers, patients, carers and people who work in the country to tell us their views about how we can improve NHS services in Oxfordshire.

"We cannot afford to continue providing services in the way we have done in the past.

"Together we need to re-think how we deliver health and social care services."

The meetings will be held throughout the county starting on Tuesday, July 12 from 6pm to 9pm at Banbury Town Hall.

Meetings will then be held from 6pm to 9pm on Monday, July 18 at The Beacon, in Wantage and Thursday, July 21 at Oxford Town Hall.

On Tuesday, July 26 from 2pm to 5pm a meeting will be held at St Mary's Church in Wallingford and then on Thursday, July 28 at the Littlebury Hotel in Bicester.

The final meeting will be held on Thursday, August 4 from 11am to 2pm at the Methodist Church in Witney.
