MAJOR works to install new seating, lighting and equipment at Oxford Playhouse will begin today.
Building contractors will be working 16 hour days for the next six weeks to install new hydraulics, completely refurbish the lighting, add in 32 extra seats and install a new sound system.
The theatre hopes the six-week refurbishment will keep its auditorium up-to-date for the next two decades and enable it to host world-class performances.
