Charities gain royal approval
OXON: Two county charities have been given royal approval for their good work.
Carterton Lions Club and The Falcon Rowing and Canoeing Club have been given The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2012.
They are two of the 112 winners selected from 250 groups across the UK.
Carterton Lions Club helps charities and organises parking for repatriations.
The Falcon Rowing and Canoeing Club provides river-based sporting activities for children and adults.
