COUNCILLOR Margaret Ferriman opened a new library at the village school in 1994 and Aimee Rudd and Tom Levy, both seven, were keen to show her some of the books that pupils could read, above.
The pistol range at the village fete in 1986 caught the eye of 13-year-old Jamie Hosegood, but despite his professional stance, in the picture left, he was off target when it came to the prizes. The fete was held in the moated garden of Sotwell House.
Villagers flocked from far afield to enjoy the bread produced in the village. Stan Kew, seen below removing a loaf from the coal oven, was the fourth generation of his family to run the bakery.
