It didn't take long to name most of the members of the theatre group at the Gladiator Club in Iffley Road, Oxford.
They were pictured on stage during a production in the early 1950s (Memory Lane, September 22).
John Blake, of Southby Close, Appleton, who sent in the picture recognised only one member — his late wife whose name at the time was Margaret Horrabin.
But thanks to Geoff Edwards, of Yarnton, and RE 'Butch' Gray, of Foxwell Drive, Headington, we now know all but one of the cast.
They were: Back row, left to right: Roger Smith, Bill White, Enid Ockenden, Phil Copeman, John Timms, Peter Baker, Fred Eley.
Middle row: Lorna Wicks.
Front row: Roy Walters, ?, Margaret Horrabin, Winnie James, Roy Copeman, Brian Tombs, Alex Gibbs, Roy Masters.
Mr Edwards joined the group in 1953, probably just after the picture was taken.
He believes the play the cast were performing might have been The Man Who Came To Dinner.
Mr Gray writes: "I was a founder member of the Glads, which had their 60th anniversary celebrations last September."
