A wheelbarrow race was all part of the fun at a summer playscheme at Abingdon.
Children aged from five to 14 were given a chance to enjoy a wide range of holiday pursuits in and around the Baptist Church hall off Ock Street in 1977.
Activities included toy making, cooking, pottery, sewing, art and handicrafts.
Joyce Eddy, chairman of the Abingdon Children’s Holiday Activities Association, said the playscheme had become so popular that often 60 children turned up.
