THE suspension of births at the Cotswold Maternity Unit is worrying, as is the silence from Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
All health bosses would say last night is that the “suspension” is down to concerns raised by staff and women who use the unit.
The trust – so keen to doll out pay rises to senior staff courtesy of the taxpayer – seems not so ready to explain what is actually going on.
