One of Britain’s best restaurateurs is also, it appears, a dab hand at organising concerts.

Raymond Blanc’s annual celebration of the arts, Le Festival aux Quat’Saisons, marks its 21st anniversary with three nights of top music preceded by a Champagne reception at the two Michelin-starred Le Manoir, and followed by a five-course feast created by Mr Blanc and Gary Jones.

The black-tie event, held at the 12th century St Mary’s Church, starts tonight with a performance by the seven million-album-selling Katherine Jenkins with her best-loved operatic arias, pop, songs from the shows and hymns.

Tomorrow fellow opera giant Russell Watson takes spotlight. The tenor, who is back to full health after his recent illness, will perform all the favourites along with pieces from his new album Anthems.

The finale falls on Saturday, when the queen of musical theatre, Elaine Paige, performs songs from her 21-album back catalogue.

Tickets cost an eye-watering £400 per person for Le Manoir guests and £450 for non-residents. Call 01844 277 484 or email reservations@blanc.co.uk.
