For great music with a conscience, try Jazz at St Giles.
These fortnightly shows, launched by jazz-loving vicar Andrew Bunch, are going down a storm, with last month’s debut packed. All the artists are of national and international renown and include familiar faces to patrons of the Oxford Jazz Festival and Ronnie Scott’s in London.Proceeds go to St Giles’ work with the homeless (The Gatehouse homeless charity is next door, in the parish rooms).
The next show, on Saturday features a cappella singing group Apollo5, who are part-way through an international tour. The show on October 20 sees violinist Ben Bolder and his quartet play. Book at jazzatstgiles.com.
